Hello,
I was wondering if there is a already a functionality / option to change admin language. I'm a happy French user of this script and it doesn't bother me to have admin in english, but (there is a but !)... I want to "sell" this script for my photography association (non profit so) because I find imagevue is simply one of the best ones, but I will have difficulties to make it accepted if we have only menu in English. Does something exists already ? BTW, when come the next release ? _________________ EHRETic On twitter : http://twitter.com/EHRETic On Facebook : http://www.facebook.com/ehretic My website : http://www.ehretic.com |

Next release was last night, but right now the admin is english only. At the moment you can switch language in Flash gallery interface, plus you can have multi-lingual titles/descriptions for images and folders.

Is there any way to do the translation by myself ? Is it hard coded somewhere ?

If you are really determined - sure, but I wonder what are you going to do when we will release the next version?
To translate the admin – open iv-admin/templates/ and change the text in all the files. _________________ Nick // Imagevue ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() dear-apple.com jaconda.im indexr gridpapr |

So determined, maybe not, I've opened all the file and the main one is huge !
For such huge job, I would prefer replace all test by PHP variables for once, and then have a file where all variables are stored. This would easier to translate, and of course prepared for for a future international "version". I'm sure a few people can help translating. How huge would it be for you to prepare such kind of system for the next release ? _________________ EHRETic On twitter : http://twitter.com/EHRETic On Facebook : http://www.facebook.com/ehretic My website : http://www.ehretic.com |

How huge would it be for you to prepare such kind of system for the next release ? Don't want to spoil anything... but one of the questions is: How many people would really want this? It would probably take a lot of development time that could be used otherwise. _________________ ![]() |

I think this is in our list and has been so for quite some time ... Just been about priorities. I believe Nick has it planned for Imagevue X2.8, but I am not able to quote him on that ...

I would say if you think the file is huge - don't bother. There is not too much to translate, and we are moving towards it, but I can't guarantee it for 2.8.

How many people would really want this? All other people that don't speak English in this world... I've done PHP developing on my own, replace hard coded text by variables is not that much effort. OK, that's boring, but not complicated. _________________ EHRETic On twitter : http://twitter.com/EHRETic On Facebook : http://www.facebook.com/ehretic My website : http://www.ehretic.com |

We will add translation for the next version but it will take a while before the process will be completed (with the help of our users of course).
