Let me know what you think. Should I make the images smaller, some are larger than others. The larger ones are 1077pixels wide.....

any input would be great....

I think size is fine - Nice and big. Of course, it often requires a relatively large screen resolution to enjoy them at their original size.

Perhaps you should try the image.original_optimized setting set to true?

Personally I go with smaller sizes as many clients work on laptops as well
as desktops. I'd rather go for a smaller, but always clearer, image than
optimizing for larger resolutions. Admittedly though I'm mostly on the fence.
