Image scale method doesn't work

Is there any dependency what has troop for the image scale method? Because all of my images showing as a square, dosen't matter, if I set the scale method to fitmargin, fitstage or croptostage.

Sounds to me like this is another issue ... Are your images un-resized? Are they >3000px? If so, this explains the problem, because flash will not be able to display that large images ... Besides, why would a visitors wish to wait for several MB to load when the image is the be scaled down to viewing size anyway?

And it is true. :/ All of my images have the resolution with 4.272 x 2.848. I don't noticed it, cause I uploaded the photos via external FTP client. Thank you.
