I just upgraded to 2.8 from the download section and now my flash gallery will not load. did I miss something?

ok after doing a browser cache delete its working again. However my link that I posted onto my facebook and others, they do not work anymore. Is there a setting I can change to get them to work again

Important to clear cache after upgrading, to remove old incompatible files. Facebook sharing, is this issue only related to private messages?

I would share with family and friends my pictures and albums by using the share on facebook button. Once I upgraded all my links on facebook would not work. I downgraded back to 2.7 and they work again. I need those links to work when I upgrade. Is there a setting?

It seems to work fine in our demo gallery. When did you download Imagevue X2? Facebook changed something in their code, so we have to update the sharing script a few days ago. Try this latest imagevue.php (which is also in the last download zip from a few days ago):

ok I upgraded back to the last version of 2.8 that you have in the download section. I am still have the issue. To better explain. I am using the Flash version. When I was on the latest version of 2.7, I would go to a picture and click share on facebook, it would load the facebook module and after submitting, it would show up on my facebook wall. When I would click on it, it would take me right to the picture I chose to share on the flash version. I have posted links to other people facebooks as well. When I upgraded to 2.8, all the links I originally had on facebook that worked fine with 2.7 now do not work. When you click them, it take you right to the main page of the HTML version of my gallery which is not what I want.

When I reshare a picture from 2.8 and post it on facebook that works fine however I found a difference in the links being shared.

With version 2.7 when you would share, it would use this URL to go to the picture http://www.stephenrogers.net/?share=blahblah and this would take you right to the picture if using version 2.7. On 2.8 it gets confused and defaults me to the main page of my HTML gallery

With version 2.8 loaded, when you share a picture, it would use this URL to go to the picture http://www.stephenrogers.net/imagevuex. ... ="blahblah

so looking at the two, version 2.7 never included imagevuex.php into the link on facebook which is why it works on 2.7 but not on 2.8. I have a lot of links posted on facebook and I like 2.8 but I cant have ppl click the links and they never take them to the picture. Is there something you can do that changes the way it redirects you similar to 2.7

The thing is, it is the same if it goes to "/?share=" or "/index.php?share=" or "/imagevue.php?share=" ... Why? Because basically / means index.php, and index.php includes the imagevue.php. We just changed it in 2.8, because some people have servers that dont support "index.php" as folder index file.

As you can see, sharing works fine in our demo version.

It would help if you would provide a link to your server or at least the share link that doesn't work. Anything.

just was working on it. Here is a link right from my facebook page created using version 2.7

It loads right to my HTML gallery and if I disable the html gallery, it will come up as an 404 page error.

this works fine

those are the direct links from facebook. in short the 2.7 version uses a link ending in /?share and the 2.8 uses /imagevuex.php?share .. I downloaded the version you attached and it is still the same.

It's not that, it's the content/ folder in front of the link. Please replace the iv-includes/controllers/IndexController.php with the file attached, hope it will resolve the issue. Sorry about that.

@steveman0018, I can see that you are using powerPack, if you replace the file provided by Nick, you can't install/reinstall powerPack because this file is modified by powerPack from last release of imagevue. So, it will simply change your updated indexController.php file to the old one.

If you want to have powerPack works, download latest version.

This file controlls News Module (if you move/delete/copy file or folder in your gallery, News Module is updated by indexController.php)

I have silently injected the updated indexController into the imagevuex28.zip... Maybe you could update PowerPack in the same fashion as well?

Artur - Did you just do an update to the file? I still see the same 2.1final. Should I redownload that and install
