using admin upload I get 401 error only on my mac.

upload error: 401
I get this error using firefox and safari. What could be the problem and how to solve it?

It works from windows you say? I am not sure, perhaps you can send link+login to your admin so we can take a look?

Yes it has always worked in windows, I have found out what the problem was, it has to do with the gallery is locked using .htaccess. When I take the .htaccess password out it works without problems. So it has to do with the permission in .htaccess
Is this something that can be fixed or is it a bug in macos? because it is the same in firefox in the mac.

Flash can't do basic auth, it surprises me that it works at all behind .htaccess

The only solution (except removing .htaccess) would be to use HTML uploader or upload files using ftp.

In windows it prompts for login info before it starts uploading. But in mac it doesn't

I don't think we will be able to solve this. Maybe when Adobe update its plugins. Looks like they simply use different code for windows and mac versions.
