Hello members of imagevuex.

I did just download the trail version of imagevue x2 yesterday, and I love it! I was almost about to buy the "full" version, until I saw that some of the pictures I've uploaded to my galleri, did not fit into the frame after I had clicked on the thumbnail of the picture. Most of the pictures taken with my Canon Camera are only showning half of the picture, but in the thumbnail, it's showning the whole image.. Hmm.. I hope there is a way to change this, so I can upload my high resolution pictures to my galleri??

I assume you do not resize the images and put them online straight from the camera...
As a best practice, I do resize the images to a smaller resolution. Otherwise people would have to download a 21 megapixel image...

Correct. I had the same issue and I was explained the Flash supports just up to 2000x2000 resolution. So I resized my pictures and it works great!

Thank you, I thought that was the problem..

But the reason why I don't resize my images is because I upload them through FTP because imagevue x2 says that the file is to big, so I can't upload and resize them throught the galleri-settings :/

Do I really have to make a manuel resizeing?

what resolution would you recommend?

I am resizing to 1600x1200 as will cover 90% of any monitors.

Keep in mind that there's still milions of people around the world who don't have >10Mb/s internet connection
If you provide them 1(and more)MB weigth files, then I'm not sure about their patience to watch any of your photo...

No. horizontal images - 900pix on longer side, and vertical images - 650pix on longer side. (~250kB / image)
I prefer less compression over image resolution.

okay are you using Photoshop for resizeing? I think the images lose some quality when I resizeing :/

Yes . There's many other applications for mass-resizing, but I learned how to work with resizing in PS.

Is it right that the path for resizeing in PS CS5 is File -> Scripts -> Image Processor.. ?
