Dragging large images to all directions

20 Sep 2009, 03:50

I saw that on a different flash gallery and also in picasaweb, and thought it would be really cool if imagevue implemented that feature as well.

Right now when you enlarge an image, it burst out of the screen limits.

My suggestion is that when we click on zoom, the image window will stay the same size, and if the image doesn't fit that window then the cursor will change into a hand and we'll be able to drag the cursor to all directions to see the rest of the image.

I know it's not the easiest thing to explain but I hope you got my general idea.

What do you think? Is it possible that we see such a feature on one of imagevue's next releases?

I think you will already find a similar feature coming in the next release very shortly. It doesn ´t create a hand for dragging, but the image will scroll into position with mouse movement/positioning.

Sounds very interesting!

Can't wait to see how it turns out. :)

Scrolling images doesn't work in my galery

16 Sep 2010, 10:02

I looked at some of the demos available on your website. When I zoom an image and it gets bigger then the screen, the image moves as I move the mouse.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work in my gallery. Can you please tell me if there is something I have to activate to be able to scroll the image?

Thank you!

You probably need to upgrade your gallery to the latest release! This is something that we added some time ago ...

Sorry, what browser and OS are you using? There are some issues with some bugs in some browsers ... For example Firefox/windows does not work with mousewheel zoom, unless you are willing to turn off the AddThis sharing module.

Then unfortunately it will not work, unless you can live without these items: lightbox, "more" sharing module, fotomoto.

Unfortunately, there is a bug in windows Firefox, that prevents mouse scroll in flash if WMODE is enabled. WMODE is required in Imagevue if you are to use any of those features specified above, that put html layers above the SWF. Sorry, but we cannot fix this bug in firefox ...
