I was wondering if it is possible to connect imagevue password to .htaccess (.htpasswd) together. So that if you go directly to the folder you get the same password prompt as when you are using imagevue. I hope that makes sense. So it doesn't matter if you go directly or by using imagevue.

You mean instead of imagevue password you want to use htaccess? No, you can't do like this. You can however use HTML gallery which is almost the same as accessing files directly, just replace # with ? in the link.
