Umlauts in IPTC data

Hi there. First of all congrats to the new version. It's awesome what you guys do. Still - I do have issues with my IPTC data that contain umlauts such as ä,é,è,ü, ö and many more. I had a look at the code and you might want to look in following part in ivMapperXmlFile.class.php: if (!empty($title))...

Re: Imagevue X2.8 Mobile Gallery Beta

Mika wrote:Maybe the issue is that I have about 35 000 images on my gallery.
I only have about 2'000+ but on my iPod Touch 4 it is very very slow too.

Re: Imagevue X2.8 Mobile Gallery Beta

I have just noticed on the latest online demo of 2.8 following two issues: Pre condition: save url of galllery on to the home screen of your iphone 1. I expect the status bar to be changed to black instead of gray. 2. When clicking on any link the safari browser is opened displaying safari controls ...

Re: View on the Map

lowray1975 First: Why did you decide to change the appearance of the close button? It took me a few seconds to find the new because it was different the normal image close button. I don't really care much about the visual but its position. Looking at the current beta the close button is positioned ...

Re: View on the Map

The map feature would be awesome. I was waiting for this quite a while now. Also. I have noticed that in the Admin view as well as on the HTML view information from IPTC such as City, Location, Province, Country etc. are displayed. Where can this be configured to display as Text 1, 2, or 3 in the Fl...

Web Site Re-Design of imagevuex.com

The new look and feel of the new website looks really neat - I must say, though some links are not working yet and some "lorem ipsum" texts are still visible.
However, I was looking for the Update Log for the new X2 Version 2.1.8.1. but I cant find it. Where would I need to look for that?

I am using Adobe Bridge CS 4 to edit meta data information. Thought it is not the EXIF but the IPTC metas which are written by Bridge. When I am done with writing the meta data such as descriptions in Bridge I use an other command line tool to copy the IPTC data to Exif. The tool is from http://www....

Potential issue with special characters such as è, é, à e

Hi there I tried to use the new version X2 2.1 and there might be problems with special characters such as è, é, à  etc if these occur in the Image Description of EXIF when writing the XML of the respective folder. Funny is that it does not seem to have any issues with Greek characters. -> The thumb...
